Tommy holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Miami University in Ohio and dual Master’s degrees in Architecture and Construction Management from Washington University in St. Louis.
He began his career with the renowned Phil Kean Design Group, where he spent over a decade refining his craft and ultimately rose to the role of President. Working closely with nationally recognized architect Phil Kean, Tommy led the design of award-winning custom residences, developing a deep expertise in timeless proportions, refined detailing, and the thoughtful design process that defines truly exceptional homes.
Driven by a passion for creating highly individualized residences, Tommy founded Ninth Design Studio to offer a more personal and elevated design experience. His work is rooted in a commitment to craftsmanship, clarity, and collaboration—guiding discerning clients through an intentional, highly curated process to create homes that are both architecturally distinctive and deeply personal.
Each project is approached as a rare opportunity to translate vision into legacy, resulting in residences that reflect not only beauty and precision, but the lives they are designed to enhance.
Outside of the studio, Tommy is dedicated to health and fitness and enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Emmy and Levi.
